I won't be able to use the SVN from now on, so I don't know what im going to do, but I can't download 74.2 megs worth of package files... (Fubar lol)
Unless there is a way to block the svn from downloading those files... I dont know jack about svn stuff. I would think there is a way to tell it "don't download this folder"
I strongly urge us level designers to package up your materials/meshes, etc.. within the map and not in other package files, this way we dont have 3- 8 files for 1 single map, simple name your package the same as your map and it will be saved within the map. Not that is saves in dowloading or file size, but it makes for less trouble wondering if you have the correct package file, etc..
Thoughts, ideas, complaints? :D

Talking with Bob last night briefly about this
ONLY submit to Trunk AFTER you have got permission to do so and when your content is Vital to the Projects progression
Half finished Maps/Packages should be store in the WIP directory's
I know im just repeating what Bob just said but this is crucial and I cannot stress this enough, sorry Bob if im stepping out of line authority wise here, I know im not a lead, just want to make sure everyone reads this and understands how important it is
also when the project gets a little larger and we near the limit on our server space ill pitch in some cash for some more server space, it probably wont be enough to store the whole projects file history on SVN, but will be enough so that we will only have to clean up (delete old revisions of files) every other month or so
Good to see people are gettin some custom work done though ^^ lol, jsut make sure you OK stuff with leads before submitting large files like that

gezz man
i made a stuff up ffs bite my head off
for a start i asked how to use svn and all i got was links to stuff that involved reading, downloading, links to stuff that wasnt to do with it,
also when i finaly get it working i make a mistake, everyone makes a boo boo
also can you use models/textures if its inbedded in a map?
at least if they are in there own package everyone can use them easly
and in there own package if it doesnt make a diff to file size except makes the map file huge
BTW my wip can be deleted as i will upload new one soon with only map bits, think i uploaded wrong utgame file coz its got everything in there

this wasnt an attack on you m8, its for everyone to read and understand BEFORE it happends rather than after
also saving custom content in a map file is a big nono as theres no + side to it, keept hem all in 1 seperate file imo
