The Gate's Guard

The Gate's Guard

await a stranger,
pass by the ranger
the gates guard
get to the other side of the yard
stray from the path laid before us
for one day, the ranger will implore us
a task so dutifully done
we'll find ourselves repeating square one
clocks a'tickin round and round
the snap into time, a gentle sound
wilderness of stillness
the void will fill this
provide for the sick
it is your illness

i am the lizard king. i can do anything.
