updating to the latest sdk never deletes any new/changed content.

only way you can loose your files is if you delete the items yourself without thinking.

I just format my HD, I have done a save of all my works (all the game folder + src). So I reinstall steam and replace all my work at his last place but how can I make steam understand that my Source code is existing and that I want it to be updated ? :p

First and foremost you cant do it smoothly.

There is a file in the sourcesdk directory called game info or something like that that has all of the modding information saved in it. open it up, and read.

in regards to updating your source code i would suggest you jump on google and hit up an application called winmerge. drop the new source code into one directory, and then merge your codebase into it. problem solved.

My principal problem is that now I have Game_sdk and Game_HL2-2003 :/ Game_sdk have all my new files include and the new Game_HL2-2003 haven't :'(. I cant compare them with winmerge (excellent prog, thanks ^^). Anyone's an idea ?

Thats the part i was warning you about. There is no easy way to do it. the only way i can think of is to open up the project and find out what is included and then just make sure you have that included in the 2003 option.
